October 2008
The show season is finally over. The horses did great in OKC. Star was unbelievable and won 2 jumper classes out of 3 and came back with the World title! Thanks Amanda Dupont and her team for great competition & great times! Luv and Billy held their own in big classes and came back with top 5 ribbons. Watch for them in 2009!
Grand National is always a great way to end the show season. We got to meet wonderful people like Holly Butterman, Kathy Taylor and the Windward Team. Thanks all for an amazing week.
Lets not forget our horses... LR Ami Tiger Would (Crystal Farms) won 3 reserve titles and brought her equitation rider to the 4th place in the medal! Crown B Special brought tons of ribbons from the dressage ring and HVK Proud Nobility & Stevie Watson had some great classes! LR Amie Savoir Faire & Katie Watson had a very good first national.
Now, here is the time to wrap up the renovations, start new colts, keep check our Horse for sale page it will keep changing! We have great youngsters coming up with tons of versatile potential! Keep in touch thru the winter!

The renovations are almost done and we are so excited to get pictures to you! Ace, Luv and Billy went to the Continental Divide Horse Show down in Loveland, Colorado! They all brought back blue ribbons and each of them a reserve champion title in their respective division! Next stop OKC for Luv, Billy and Star.
We had a wonderful adult rider camp in august. Amy Barrington and Dorothy Crowell tought dressage,stadium and cross-country clinics for 4 days. This camp ended with a schooling horse trials. We had tons of fun. (picture Sultan enjoying his Novice course!)
Now we are getting ready for the recognized Windy Wyoming Horse Trials 2008. More entries than ever, check the results at www.windywyoming.com.

The summer is going by way too fast! Mallory & Seth got married on the 25th of May 2008 in Laramie, Wyoming in between tornadoes! We have had 2 successful championships with Far West Regionals and Circle J Regionals [show results] with many Tricolors won (Ask about our youngsters they are TALENTED). And now the renovations are well under way. We can't wait to get pictures out to you. For the months to come? Well, we are going to be busy trying to get the barn finished. We will host the first Adult Eventing camp in august. We will be going to Continental Divide Horse Show in Loveland, Colorado and to a couple of horse trials. And then OKLAHOMA HERE WE COME!
Congratulations to Becky Rainwater for the purchase of LR Ami Raptor and LR Ami Cavalier. We wish you success and fun with these 2 fantastic geldings [sales].

Great things happening at Mears Morgans:
The show season kicked off at the Colorado Classic Horse Show in Denver, CO. Great goes for the baby horses and Sultan brought back the Morgan Hunter Pl. Open Championship banner. Sultan also tool Briana Schauer for a couple of great rides. "He is like a little sport's car" Briana said! Next stop FARWEST in Oregon!!!!
The big barn renovations will start on the 19th of May. We are so excited to be able to offer greater service in an improved facility in the future. We will keep you posted!
Congratulations Barbara Wood for the purchase of LR Amie Primrose (picture). The mare is now under the direction of Kate Shook- Silberman on Vashon Island, WA. [Sales]

Mears Morgans is proud to annonce the purchase of SMITHSONIAN (Deer Park Graphic Design x Quail Run Dominique) - a wonderful 2 yr old stallion with the beauty and the athletism of the perfect Morgan. Thank you Holly Butterman (Snowview Morgans) & Rebecca Hompe (Deer Park Morgans) for letting "Ian" into our world.
Anne Mears and Mallory Mignot attended the Circle J Futurity Auction and were excited to get a breeding to the fabulous Pondview Tres Bien (Futurity French Command x Baymeadow Prima Diva x Tedwin Topic)
Mark your calendar! Mears Morgans will host the first Adult Eventing Camp from August 5th until August 8th 2008. Amy Barrington and Buck Davidson will be teaching. It will be followed by a schooling Horse Trials form Beginner Novice to Preliminary. Everyone is welcome to audit and participate. Seminars, clinics, demonstrations and more will be organized. LR Ami Tiger Would & Ellery Walker did very well at The Morgan Grand National & World Championship. Trained and owned by Crystal Farms, "Woody" was GN Champion Western Equitation 11 & under and Reserve WC Hunter on the flat Junior Equitation. Congratulations to this young team! "Woody" started his show career with Mallory Mignot. He was 3 yr-old western pl. champion at Circle J 04.
